Clairvaux Abbey (Abbaye de Clairvaux)

Clairvaux Abbey was founded in 1115 by St. Bernard and became one of the most influential Cistercian abbeys in medieval Europe, known for its reforming spirituality. Much of the site was later repurposed as a prison, but the abbey's historic footprint and legacy remain central to the locale.
